The Great Sandy Desert

The Great Sandy Desert is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the West, the Ranges of the Northern Kimberley to the North, the Tanami Desert to the East and the Gibson Desert to the South. The Northern section of the Canning Stock route crosses the Great Sandy Desert.

There are Schools administered by the Catholic Education Office of West Australia in the four main Aboriginal Communities along the North-Eastern edge of the Great Sandy Desert. There are links to these to the right.
